What is the name of the song that has recently been released? It's something to do with 'Paradise' (I think that's also part of the title). It contains the lyrics something like this 'and you don't know what you've got, 'till it's gone _______ paradise, put up a ________ lot'. I know that vague but it's a recent re-release of an older song. Any help is greatly appreciated!

The song is called Big Yellow Taxi and was originally done by Joni Mitchell. It's been covered by Ami Grant (in 1995) and also by Janet Jackson along with Q-Tip and Joni Mitchell although their version used part of the original and was actually called Got Till It's Gone. The latest version is by the Counting Crowes and Avril Levine. The lyrics are "They paved paradise, and put up a parking lot."

Thanks for the info :)
No problem, great song, great lyrics, but I can't figure out why every DJ is raving about the latest cover, I think it does nothing for the song, almost as if they're just going through the motions and don't care how it sounds...
Sorry, Gazzawazza and Mobius it's not Avril LaVigne singing on it, it's that girl Vanessa Carlton.
Well done froggequene, spotted my deliberate mistake... It was a slip of the keyboard honestly!
Ah yes, the song in which Ms Mitchell complains they 'paved paradise to put up a parking lot', a measure which actually would have alleviated traffic congestion on the outskirts of paradise, something which Joni singularly fails to point out, probably because it doesn't fit in with her blinkered view of the world. Neverthless, a nice song. A-ha! (I'll get me coat....)
