At the end of Sundays England's world cup match, a cover version of Queens "Don't stop me now" was played.
Anyone any ideas who the artist is?

McFly & The Vandals have covered this song.

I'm guessing you heard the McFly version because The Vandals are a punk band.

It was the McFly version which I read somewhere on the internet is due to be released on CD as a Sport Relief single with another track.

The double A side "Please, Please / Don't Stop Me Now" is out on July 17th, and will be available on x2 CDs and DVD single. You can register to receive a limited edition, uniquely numbered collectors box. The first 50 wil be signed by McFly.

Don't Stop Me Now is the official Sports Relief single, so at least 20p from CD1 and the DVD, and 30p from CD2 will go directly to help vulnerable people leading tough lives here in the UK and in the poorest countries of the world.
