off to see guns n roses on tues . anyone seen em recently ?. are they as good as the old line up,or not as good without slash. cheers

John Lennon, when asked why he would never re-form The Beatles, said "It wouldn't be The Beatles, it would be four guys who used to be The Beatles." That is from a man with the sense of dignity to let his legend stand, and not degrade it with a re-run.

Axl Rose has no such concience. What you will see won't be 'Guns 'n' Roses', it will be the guy who used to be the lead singer with Guns 'n' Roses, and a few anonymous session musicians, doing record-perfect run-throughs of the band'* ****.

My avice? Stay at home, play your albums, remember them as they used to be, steer clear of the Axl Ego Show, it's embarassing.

I would fully agree with the above comment.I think the longer he persists ith this charde it is just dragging the name of "Guns N Roses" down.
I am not deny the man making a living but why not do what the other members did and form a new group,rather than whoring the name as he is now.
Besides get the Velvet Revolver album..its great :)

thanks both for your comments but seeing as i won the tickets on a radio show and cost me nothing ,i am going anyway. i agree with you to a degree. would love it to be all original members but it will be nice to hear all the old favourites again.

That's ideal - you get to make an unbiased view at no cost.

I am sure you will enjoy the concert - to be objective, Axl still has the voice - as long as you close your eyes and avoid the botox / hairweave visions, it'll take you back nicely.
