I believe you can get a wee gadget thing that connects to your tape player and PC so that you can record them in a MP3 format. This device also takes out some of the background noise also. You could then burn the MP3s onto CD - and hey presto, you've got a copy. You can get it from Argos for about �40, and it does records as well.
Thanks ! The tape is VERY rare , in fact i`ve spent so much time trying to find out the artist or artists that i`m starting to think that its a compilation done by someone years ago and sold somewhere like camden market or something like that! However, it is sooo worth doing!!
Do you know of an average clean up program? its the kind of music that once its playing the quality becomes insignificant! I just worry that one day the life of the tape will end and every time you tape to tape you lose more quality.
ive just bought a bit of kit from argos
its called sound blaster live 24 bit �40 oo
it will allow you to convert albums tapes to mp3 so you can put onto disc i have loads of albums i want to do
will have a go this week
oh it also allows you to
clean up any scratches as well
