anyone go to newcastle gig for g & r ? were they any good?

I didnt go but all my mates are saying its just Axl and 'friends' and non of the originals.

My friend went and said it was the best gig she's ever been to...I'm not sure though, I'm hearing mixed reports!

my friend went and said they were good...but they didn't come on stage til 10.30, so it was very late when they finished...or rather when someone else finished it for them - they didn't get a chance to do Paradise City because the venue started putting the lights on. etc, to get people moving.

Sebastian Bach was there as support, and joined Axl for a couple of songs apparently.

I've just been told that they didn't get to play Paradise City because half way through Night Train somebody through something off Axl and he walked off. Making the show run late.

sebastian bachs new band played for an hour in sheffield before guns. they were very good. but bullet for my valentine who were also on , were total shyte. guns came on around 9.45 and did 2 hrs. with seb bach comming on to join an a couple of songs along with izzy stradling who too made a guest appearance.they were good but had total on stage monitor breakdown the whole gig which really pi$$ed axle off.with superb stage effects through live and let die, and a brilliant paradise to finish it was really good but i think axle has lost a bit of his showmanship , sometimes he just looked as if he wasn't really bothered.

Izzy obviously needs the money and publicity.

he was the 1st to quit the orig lineup because he hated Axl.
