There's a song I really used to like that I heard again the other day, I think it's called '12 reasons why' but for the life of me I can't remember who did it, does anyone know?

Also, if you can name the group, do they have an albulm with this song on and can you give me a quick review of what the albulm is like?

Cheers

Could it be the one by "My Life Story". Mid nineties?

Sounding good actually, definate bells ringing, I'm off to google! Somehow I knew it'd be you that would know the answer to this... in a good way!
I'd love to say that I have a Peel-esque record collection encompassing everything that's ever been made, but I've never actually heard that song. I just tried doing a little internet digging for you

Awwww.... thank you sweetie. Did you get your nap?

You might like it actually, try it... I think the lyrics on it are pretty good. And frankly if you still have genesis in mind as great love songs I really think you need pointing in a different direction ;0P Can't bl00dy find the lyrics anywhere.

Current love song of the moment is chasing cars I think. Good new entries include glorious town.and new one by kasabian (sp) also very good. Current fav old songs are bitter end placebo and I go to sleep pretenders. These will have changed by the time I've sent this ;0) Go on then Mr NME, what are yours?
You can scoff all you like at Phil Collins my dear, but anyone who has Whiter Shade of Pale down as required bedroom music is skirting fairly close to the boundaries of taste herself ;-)

Current favourites.

City of Delusion - Muse. Might be my favourite song this whole year.
Black Swans - Thom Yorke. Most of the album is fairly inaccessible I think, but this is a cracker.
Late - Spinto Band.

Older favourites

Smoulder - King Adora. I was listening to their first album today, and I'd forgotten just how much I enjoyed it.
Warnings/Promises - Idlewild. The whole album really. I look like a real catch pulling up at the traffic lights and singing like a loon while the kids in the bus shelter look on in disgust.
Teenage Kicks - Undertones. It never dies, it just gets better and better every time I listen.

Hey! Whiter shade of pale??? I do not recall saying that at all! Doesn't sound like me... was I drunk? stoned?I'm only on here during work time so really hope I wasn't. Good grief, really have no recollection of that at all! When did I say that?

LFAO @ you singing like a muppet at traffic lights... not down with the yoof then hun?! You suprise me, I'd have thought an NME snot would have his finger on the pulse... ahem!

Teenage kicks is class but for me has to be ever fallen in love as the song that just keeps getting better and better. Also very fond of accidently in love by counting crows... and yes, I have been listening to the Shrek 2 soundtrack!
Just looked back at the thread, and you may have had an imposter, or a user with your name minus the space. Damn. I was sniggering at that.
I'll have you know that I am well down with the kids, and they look upon me as some sort of mentor or guru. And if they don't I won't buy them alcopops in Tesco.
I always liked Colour Blind by the CC's but it's more of a song I'm embarrassed to like more than anything else. Ever fallen in love though is an absolute stone cold classic. Ther's hope for your taste yet!

Lol... hope for my taste Mr 'lets name random bands that no one else has ever heard of to show how down with the trends I am' ?! ;0P

There is another China Doll actually, I once reported her for being an imposter and then realised that actually she's most likely been around longer than me and I am in fact the imposter... oops.

Well as long as you're not well down on the kids babe... there's all sorts of prison sentances for that now... I'll most likely get banned for that little quip ;0)

Trying to remember colour blind now and failing quite drastically... it's obviously a fantastic song.

Loved your answer in the wedding song by the way, hillarious... You'll be fine, any girl that agrees to marry you will have already taken that as a given within seconds of speaking to you! Now me, I'm in trouble with any future Mr Dolls! Lol!

How's your hangover by the way?
It's given way to extreme tiredness now. It wasn't helped by the enormous turkey, stuffing and cranberry baguette I had at lunch. I've got some sort of psychosomatic post Christmas dinner effect going on, and i just want to have a kip!
Doing much this wekend?

Lol... you freak! You're funny tho I'll give you that, if not a bit of an old lush with the women you work with... goodness ;0P

Not much this weekend, catching up with some friends on saturday, dinner and wine at theirs I think with the conversation starting with what we've been up to, moving on to religion, history and politics and somehow from there getting in to the gutter and staying there til 3am. That's usually the way these visits go and obviously the first few subjects are over in 45 mins. Most likely a few shandies this evening, nothing too eventful. Yourself? You don't sound like you'll be out on the razzle dazzle tonight is has to be said hun!
In the gutter? Perhaps you'll be lucky enough to feature on "Binge Drinking Britain", or some other such programme. ;-)

You might be a bit of 2 shandy lightweight, but I'm a hardened pro, and am meeting my flatmate in Docklands in about an hours time. As long as someone can point me home at the end of the evening I'll be happy. Saturday it's a house party, and then Sunday I'm in a flaming meeting!!!What is wrong with the world?
Question Author
Lol! You have got to be from northern england, I would stake money on it! Lol!

I am actually a hardened beer, wine, champaigne and cocktail drinker tho not at the same time... actually wine not so hardened, one bottle and I'm a very happy lady. But my tolerence level has gone up in recent months due to several birthdays, weddings and general social gatherings.

A meeting? On a sunday? Madness.

I'm not getting you a bacon buttie on Monday if you're hung over then as well.... lol! Nutcase, you'll be knackered and unproductive by 10am monday morning!
Born in South Shields, but there's no way I could claim to be a Northerner, 'cos I've lived down south for 90% of my life.
I had a feeling that you might be a hardened drinker, but I'll remember that wine makes you a cheap date for the future ;-)
I try not to drink on a school night though, so Monday morning I'll be bright eyed and bushy tailed.
Question Author
Lol! No school nights accept thursdays?!

I have been known to frequent a few drinking establishments it has to be said... LFAO! Only a cheap date on white wine hun, I drink red far too slowly ;0)

Anyway, it's home and out time for me so take care. Nice chatting to you today and I'm sure we'll find something to disagree on next week!

Have fun xx
I'm off as well. Have fun.
