'If you love me give me a sign' what song?

Back in '89 when everybody was raving there was a mellow song that contained the above line.

I used to hear it on Centreforce radio during the mellow morning comedown period and had it on a mix tape that is now lost.

Anybody any ideas what it may be?

It was a heavy drum beat with a man singing in English.

More of a slow dance track.

The song I was going to say has nearly been said already. It's actually called "GIMME little sign" (makes all the difference if you're searching for it as I was just now!)
Brenton Wood did the original (got to number 8 in '67) and Danielle Brisebois covered it in '95. I only know this because I bought the cover by DB (which only got to 75 in 1995) for about 10p in the bargain bin.

Yes, it was 'Index' who did ' give me a sign'.

They also did a track called ' Now that your gone'. Sounded quite similar.

I have a collection of vinal, including those two, from the era of Centreforce radio.( My pride n joy). What about these:

Security - ( can't remember, bugging me, something club?)

Im gonna have to get my records out of my dusty boxes as i have loads & i cant remember the artist's
