no more likely cause the writer of the song was based in West Central Scotland and the weather there is greatly affected by the gulfstram which although it keeps the winter tempretures higher than they should be provides us with a much wetter than normal climate also.

I think it may be because you've got a knack of being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Maybe try to get out of England for a bit - try Africa! It doesn't rain much there, and maybe you'll finally escape this little weather cycle you're going through.

there is no connection between lying making it rain. it has never been proven. but, do you tend to stand outside quite a lot of the time? this could be the answer youve been looking for.
