Btw i have never got the Heart Shaped Box video by Nirvana so i was wondering if anyone knows what it means?

Video appears to have no reference at all to the song, I remember thinking this when it was released. I think it was based on a dream he had and that all the characters were made by Kurt.

It was written for Courtney Love. She gave him a box (heart shaped suprisingly..) full of little things and notes on there 5th date or something.

There is a book called come as you are. the book is about nirvana and was written before kurts death. in the book he is quoted saying that the song is about the sorrow he feels for children with cancer.
The lil girl in the video wearing the white hat and suit (symbolising life) and then the hat falls into the blood and turns black (symbolising death)
