x factor background music not american beauty
Can anyone tell me there was an amazing piece of piano music on Satudays show (7th Oct) which also had bits of music played backward in the same tune it wasone of the pieces being played when the contestants were being told if they had got through or not.
P.S. its not Carl Orf, Craig Armstrong, Thomas Newman or Mark Isham But I would say it sounded a little like Neman with a dash of Alexander Desplat score from the movie 'Birth' i.e. very subtle digital undertones but classical i essence .

That other Mark Isham tune everyone keeps saying did sound familiar but i knew it wasn't 100 % correct. I phoned ITV again this morning & apparently they've had loads of calls concerning this piece of music. It IS from Crash and it's called Sense Of Touch. It's the song used right at the end of the movie. I'm completely satisfied now, no more sleepless nights racking my brain. I hope i have helped you out mate.

Thanks guys. I have also been looking and actually thought it was Craig Armstrong after all. I found some demo samples from Craig Armstrong's 'The Piano Works' and was pretty sure it was possibly one of two or three tracks on that album based on the demos. Now You guys say Isham I'm confused again. It would be great if you guys could listen to the 'Piano Works' demos on filmtracks .com and let me know what you think.
