Cool songs! (But easy ones)

I have several groups of potential music students (aged 15) coming into College to do a workshop "How to be a Pop Star in an hour"! I have to teach them an easy, but cool song. Simple chords but cool enough for them to want to play it. Can you think of anything current or even old and timeless that they could rock out to? Will be boys and girls.

Simple chords, but cool?
Try anything by The Hives (Tyrannosaurus Hives, and Veni Vidi Vicious albums); or maybe some of the earlier White Stripes stuff, like Hotel Yorba or Fell In Love With A Girl from the 'White Blood Cells' album. Dead simple, dead catchy, and DEAD GOOD!!! lol

Lou Reed- Take a walk on the Wild side? Really cool record IMO anyway, not sure how simple the chords are to it though.

The Lemonheads - "Into Your Arms"/ "It's a Shame About Ray". Oasis - pretty much anything (personal simple choice: "Live Forever"), Sex Pistols, The Kinks, The Ramones, The Who.
Oh and Joy Division "Transmission" (2 bass notes all the way through = relentless, crushing brilliance).
