There is one song that i need to find both the title and the artist.

It was sung by a man who, if i remember correctly, used to appear as the cockney wide boy in the sit com "are you being served".

The song was a minor ish hit around the late 70's.

I know there's not a lot to go on but if anyone could suggest something, it would be appreciated.

....just remembered the bloke could have the surname Berry !!!

Mike Berry is the man

Was a hit singer in the early 60s (10 Jan '63 charts have his tune 'Don't You Think It's Time' at #21, just behind an interesting new group debuting at #17 with 'Love Me Do' - The Beatles!). Final "Are You Being Served?" (1972) appearance has him leaving Grace Bros to become a pop singer!

Mike Berry joined Are You Being Served after the departure of Trevor Bannister in 1979. The last episode was in 1985.
