Hang the DJ
Would anyone else like to garotte Tim Westwood. Is it me or does he sound like Prince Charles doing an impression of a chav? Seriously, he's about as cool as an alunimium smelter. How does he have so many friends who are hardened American criminals? You'd think they could just do us all favour a bust a cap in his sorry ass!

Not a big fan myself, however he's been more instrumental in shaping the tastes of music fans over the last ten to fifteen years than John Peel; seriously, how many of the people who mourned Peel actually listened to his show regularly? Presumably the same dozen or so people who keep the Fall in business.

What you are forgetting though is that he is a pioneer for hip hop in this country and has been responsible for helping hip hop/rap etc get its much needed and deserved exposure that was long overdue. Him and Dave Pearce both played a huge part on various different radio stations since the early Eighties playing tunes that Radio 1 etc would never have touched at the time. He may sound like an idiot and he's dads a vicar but he knows his stuff and if you like hip hop/rap etc he deserves a lot of credit for what he has done for this genre. I dont see any difference between him and say John Peel who played dance music etc and was well into his fifties and no one can say that John Peel was too old or not cool etc? Carl Cox is 50 (maybe older! ) and he still rocks and is one of the best Dj's in the world, whats age got to do with anything ?
