5 Answers
i have an old bmw m3, i have a private plate on it, just the standard british ones (yellow rear, white front),
BUT i want to get the german style number plates, as in the metal ones where the lettering starts with DM or something?
any one know where would do this and if it would be legal to drive around with these plates????
any help greatly appreciated...

Look on ebay and type 'number plates' or 'show plates' in under the car spares & accessories section and you'll find a few (usually Irish based) sellers who do 'em.
A lot of 2cv owners like a British plate done in a French style and I don't know anyone who's actually been nicked for it. Just keep the standard plates for MOT time.
