Does anyone know how to play the guitar standing up? Everytime I try, it always puts a strain on my left wrist and I don't wanna play sitting down as it looks dorky! Please could someone help? A website could be useful. Thx in advance =]

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.learning to play the guitar is not only music, its pain also. if you practice for an hour a night your wrist will get used to it and your left hand finger tips will eventually go hard.I have been playing for years but I cant barr chords as my wrist will not let me, I have to use my thumb around the neck and hold down the sixth string with my thumb , which enables me to play most chords in full ,but is no good for intro's like the beatles "I feel fine". my advice is keep practising and do it the correct way that the experts tell you, don't do it your own way and get into bad habits as you will regret them later.
