does it have to be religous if it does,

a song called shine jesus shine, if not then

miss you nights or wired for sound.
I'd go for You've Got A Friend by James Taylor.

The temptation to have Disco Inferno is almost too great...
mine would be road to mandalay by robbie williams, and shes the one by him also :)
Assuming it's going to be a cremation.....

You know the music from Thunderbirds when Thunderbird 2 is taxi ing along and the palm trees are flattening, I think it's the same music when Scott is heading down the slides to Thunderbird 1

...imagine that when the coffin is either moving along that belt thing to the curtains or even worse those cremations when it starts to sink down through a hatch!!

'The Last Laugh' by Mark Knopfler and Van Morrison. Great melody and the lyrics say it all.

Relight My Fire by Dan Hartman
Hot Stuff by Donna Summer

Thaks for all the aswers guys, warn your relatives about them
I would choose My Way and Bridge Over Troubled Water

At a friends funeral.. as the coffin was lowered into the ground..Stairway To Heaven was played and after 5 minutes everyone..including myself was thinking this song is going on too long at which point his voice came on the tape and told everyone to go and get p!ssed.....that`s the first time I cried in ages :o(
andreas bocelli and sarah brightman-time to say goodbye, there would not be a dry eye in the house!
there coming too take me away.
One hill tree - U2
Strawberry Fields Forever - the beatles
Year of the cat - Al Stewart

Jerusalem

The Lark Ascending - Vaughan Willams,

For no better reason that I like them.
Forever Young - Bob Dylan
You'll never walk alone - Gerry and the pacemakers
If I survive my darling wife, her sone will be "You Were Always On My Mind" - the Willie Nelson version.

If I go first, it will be "Drift Away" by Dobie Gray - as a music writer, the notion of such a soulful voice singing -

"Give me the beat boys and free my soul, and let me get lost in ytour rock and roll, and drift away ..." is perfection.
