There's a video around at the moment, I don't know how recent it is but it features dave grohl wandering round a concert being a bit of a geek, i have no idea what the title of this song is, does anyone have any ideas?

I'm sure it is, if he's wearing pale blue shorts and a white t-shirt. Well at least that'll stop me looking for foo fighters stuff. I thought it was the RHCP though.

That's definitely an RCHP video but that's not Dave Grohl, whoever that guy is he also appeared in their by the way video.

it's 'universally speaking' by the chilis and it's definitely not dave grohl.

Ok here we go. The guy's name is David Sheridan (according to an interview with RHCP on their Italian website). He's listed on IMDB.com as DAVE Sheridan and he was in SCARY MOVIE (played a character called Doofy) and, more importantly, he was in GHOST WORLD, playing Doug, a character who bears more than a passing resemblence to the guy in the two RHCP videos.
