nokia 6280 music download

my son has a nokia 6280.
he tried to download some music from his pc onto the phone but got the message that there was not enough phone memory.
He put into the phone a 1gb memory card but still the music will not download as he stills gets the message not enough phone memory.
I would guess the pc is trying to load the music onto the phones memory rather than onto the memory card.
How do we solve this?

is he selecting the right drive.
Not sure on this phone, but when I plug mine into PC there are 2 new drives that appear - one being the phone memoery, one being the memory card.

he is definately sending the files to the wrong location.
if he has a card reader/writer for his computer this is the easiest and quickest way of dragging and dropping mp3 files onto a memory card for a phone.
however if you are connecting the phone first name the memory card on the phone so it stands out when you are looking for it in the nokia software then drag files onto it that way.

Thanks Folks.
I've found the problem.
The actual Player Screen was too large to fit completely on my PC monitor which meant the buttons that I needed to click on were actualy hidden off screen. Sorted.
