Has anyone been to the Royal Albert Hall? I want to buy tickets online, but I am not sure about seating. Where is the best place to sit, in relation to the view, atmosphere and acoustics? Many thanks
It is a beautiful building, but was designed before the full effects of acoustics were understood, so the sound has never been that great compared with a modern hall.
If you have vertigo be wary of going right "up top" - at the risk of overexaggerating it does feel like a bit of a cliff face - my friend had an urge to throw herself off like a lemming so they very kindly moved us to a box at the side of the stage - along with various other people who for whatever reason couldn't make it to their seat!
