O.K. I am having a huge debate on this one. my mate said the Beatles I say Bollcks they aren't at all universal me thinks it's Bob Marley. In a nut shell who are the most global artists spanning time? Save me from the Beatle foolery.

Why ask a question then answer it.....esp. so dismissively of one of the most influential bands of all time...if you just want to base this on most records sold through-out the world then it used to be country star Garth Brooks who has outsold elvis and the beatles...I think he has been (or is just about to be) overtaken by Shania Twain.

What about Elvis Presley? I doubt many countries haven't heard of him regardless of what your opinion of him may be.

I have to agree. Elvis Presley is the single most famous person in history, after Jesus Christ. Even Hitler is not as well known.
