Was it 'From A Window' by Northern Uproar?
(A pack of manc teenagers signed in the post-Oasis goldrush of about 94-95, this was their only half-decent single. The singer, Leon, was half-Spanish and actually got called up to do National Service in Spain. Personally, I think the whole band should have been sent on a 'Dirty Dozen' style suicide mission in 'Northern' Iraq, then we could have been spared the rest of their ouvre.)
