I fear that this would be a move made only for money.
I always feel that classic bands,tv shows etc etc should never start up again as it can never live up to the original days.
heard that the rumours where flying round on original 106 something to do with the 30th anniversary i agree with mattk they were very good in there day hope its not the money
The band never officially broke up, and although Copeland and Sumner didn't get on personally, they knew their music was good, and both are certainly mature enough to work together, if not socialise - plenty of bands work together fine, but don't really get on as people.
The royalties were, and are split three ways, so no-one needs the money - it just depends if the mood takes them. I would love to see them back together - fantastic musicians all.
the rumours are due to the 30th anniversary - yep it's that long - since their first single.
the record company are putting another 'best of' album together, and want the band to do some promo work, and possibly a one-off gig to promote it.
if the idea appeals to the band - and the spilt was amicable, so they still get on with each other - a tour may well follow.
They don't need the cash, and may just enjoy getting back together, and playing the old stuff.
Is it any different from any of us going to a school reunion party ?
