After reading Nat_84 post about getting her scan today (congrats nat x) im once again brought back to the day when i had my first scan. it was the worst and the best day of my life.
I took the day of school to go to the hospital, my mum and my ex-boyfriend ~(who was my best friend ) were with me. i was 17 i was terrified, the father was suppose to come with me but earlier that day he told me he didnt wanna come and he wasnt ever going to come with me (last time i ever spoke to him).
My mum came in with me, ill never forget looking at the image on the screen, my little girl, then the nurse went outside and brought my friend in (thinking he was the daddy) he held my hand and said so thats our little girl! my heart melted, id always loved him, we'd been childhood sweethearts. that day my baby lost her father and gained a Daddy, shes four years old now, and me and her "Daddy" are getting married next year!
there are so many girls(and guys) out there thinking that there life is over at the prospect of being a parent, but its infact the most precious thing you can do with your life.
to all those people out there who think their life is over and they could never bring up a baby dont give up, its amazing where you can find strenght, your not alone! x

I remember my first scan so vividly. I was so worred that something would be wrong as i didnt feel pregnant and yet there he was on the screen looking like an alien and i just melted. my partner and i just stared at the pics for hours afterwards trying to take it all in.

buzybee you're naughty!!! U not what hormones are like during pregnancy!! lol
No, seriously that was a really nice message and such a sweet story!!
You're amazing and strong to go through with the pregnancy at such a young age and you must feel very lucky to have a partner/best friend like that and i'm sure your daughter is extremely lucky to have a 'new' caring and devoted daddy!
Congratulations to you both xxxx
