Hi was wondering if anyone knew about anywhere to go ice skating Manchester or cheshire, the one near Wales is too far for me, i have been on the Altrincham Ice Dome website regarding the new one, but cant seem to get any replies, cant beleive in this day and age that finding an ice rink would be so damn difficult? Its for my daughter not me, was looking for a 'different' venue for a teenage birthday party, seem to have done everything else paint balling roller blading and at 14 she's a fussy bu**er TIA

Argh I know the feeling, I wish here was an ice skating rink around here :(

Did a search in Yell and looks like there's an ice arena in Blackburn...

Worth checking out the session times though as there are limited spaces in the evenings, better on weekends though. They do do a party option though with meal and party table just not Friday or Saturday evening.

Hi jenna, thanks for that, gonna check it out in a mo, made a few phone calls this weekend regarding Altrincham Ice Dome (thats what its gonna be called, its opening any day now, but for the junior ice hockey team first : ( then to joe public, should be about 3/4 weeks, i'll let you know!
Oh and you can take my 14 year old daughter and her mates lol (rather you than me hehehehehehe)

Although the website said it was updated on 19/2/07 I can't see any other evidence that the Man United Ice Rink exists this year. Sorry.

Theres a new ice rink opening in Altincham!? WOW i never knew that, i used to go every week with my friends when i was younger, and was devastated when it closed down. Now im away at uni so never hear whats going on back home, well, its amazing what you can find out on answerbank! Thanks
