There was a song from 20-30 yrs ago. The chorus has the phrase "ohh, don't go away". It was pretty sappy but as I remember the intro was cool.

Sounds like it could be Please don't go by KC and the Sunshine Band (later covered by KWS in the 90's).

KC and the Sunshine Band had a hit with Please Don`t Go

KWS did a song "Please Don't Go.." with a good keyboard intro
