Hi All. This problem is driving me nuts!! HELP. I have an MP3 player and have recently bought some tracks and albums from I tunes. I have put them onto my pod and when I plug it into F drive on the computer, it shows the songs as being there. But when I switch on my MP3 the songs aren't there! Is it because my device isn't an actual I-Pod (its a Logic) WHY is this happening. Best wishes from a very frustrated MP3 user!!!!
Never bought a tune from the ITunes store myself but I've always been lead to believe that they are in the standard IPod AAC format not MP3 or Wav etc. So you are correct in your assumption is correct, your player won't play because it's not an IPod. You may be able to find a convertor for the files on somewhere like download.com.
They are protected (crippled) with DRM. Do not buy them until they remove the DRM (or from any other store that uses DRM, which means most of the legal stores), because you'll run into these problems again.
You cannot convert them (without doing something illegal anyway), digitally, but you can put them to a playlist and then burn them to an audio CD with iTunes, then import them again as AAC or mp3 files (neither are protected).
Thank you all for your answers. It seems crazy that these download sites sell music that can't be put on your MP3 player! Anyway, as I say, thanks for clarifying this matter for me!
