I recall in 95 that England during the rugby world cup used swing low sweet chariot as their anthem( I now live in canada and they could have used it for this years final as well for all I know)I would like to know who sang the 95 version and what were the names of the commentators who speak during the record?

I think it was China Black and Ladysmith Black Mambazo. China Black previously had a hit with "Searching."

As a Scot I can't believe I'm answering this but aye, it was china black. In my opinion it was terrible rendition of the song I'm sure you'll be able to get a hold of various better versions if you want it though. There's certainly plenty of english bands jumping on the rugby bandwagon right now. There's a terrible dance version knocking about at the mo, beware.
