Moyles - buzz off!

OK you won't understand this question if you don't listen to Chris Moyles's new breakfast show at around 7.20 am but Is it just me or is the sound quality on Moyles's 'buzz off' record worse than the others he plays? I know this is *suppposed* to be a record he's brought from his home collection but surely it'll be on CD which is just the same format as the other records he plays (innit?) so why the difference? Second question - do you think if we all texted in 'f*?! off Moyles' instead of 'buzz off', he'd go away, forever?

I thought I heard some difference in quality in the 'buzz off' record too. Only heard it the once though as I'm usually sing to cds when I'm driving. As for your suggestion on how to rid us of Moyles, worth a try??

I think all the tracks usually played on Radio 1 are stored on a computer system, so no CDs are used any more. If he does play a track from his home collection, then i suppose the quality may be worse if he plays a CD. Although CDs are really good, the quality's not as good as can be stored on computer. Chris Moyles is a lot better than having to listen to Sarah Cox isn't he?!

The quality of any CD track (or on any song stored on any digital media for that matter) is only as good as the original source....I am not aware of the song you refer to, having to many brain cells to be a radio one listener, so could it be the track is very old? or perhaps a lo-fi demo track? or like moyles himself just not very good? If he annoys you that much why don't you listen to another station?

because, sft42, the alternatives are Terry Wogan - no thanks, local radio - i'd rather boil my foot, virgin - pure torture, classical music - not my bag or talky radio - ditto. in answer to another question, Sara Cox is 1000 times funnier than Moyles. Radio 1 ditched the best breakfast DJs it ever had (Mark & Lard) because thegreat british public just didn't 'get' them - I despair.

I work as a radio DJ and yes tracks are kept mainly on the computer. However I occasionally record jingles etc onto Minidisc and occasionally play CDs, which you can't notice a loss of quality. I can only explain this by being a old and warped CD, or a special effect to make this sound old

Could it be that it was either recorded from cassette, or he downloaded it off the internet?

rja211077 if you live in London or have a DAB radio, you could always try XFM. I think it's the best radio station at the mo', and the adverts aren't as violently irritating as those on Virgin/Heart/Local FM etc

i would love to be able to listen to either XFM or BBC 6music but i neither live in London nor have a digital radio. So, for now, I'll have to put up with the fat one and his unfunny cronies.
