song from 80s-90s with steel drums at beginning

I'll be surprised if I get an answer to this, but here goes. I'm looking for the name of a song I heard on gmtv (which i never usually watch) this morning at 07:25 with a guy from the Bill walking through a tunnel. The first few bars were played - sounded late 80s/early 90s, steel drums, pop/love song, no words at the beginning, but was very popular back in the day.
If anyone can help it'd stop me from going crazy, thanks!!

Just a thought,but have you tried sending gmtv an e-mail asking them for the name of the song. Might be worth a try ??

OMD - Locomotion ? Early eighties really but it popped into my mind.

Not even sure if it is steel drums , but 'Female of the species' by Space popped into my head.

Even if it's not right, I'm going to be singing that all day!

After I posted I realised this song was from the wrong era - got my 80's and my 90's mixed up.

Thanks to whoever suggested emailing gmtv, I did just that and they emailed back.
The song I was after is wonderful life by Black!!
No idea whether it is from the 80s or 90s or whether they are steel drums in the background, but hey!
