Yay! Go Lee! I will definitely be going to see the show. Anyone know how long it will be before he will be in it, and will he be doing all the shows (seem to remember there was some controversy about 'Maria' only doing some performances). Thought Lewis was unlucky not to be in the final with him though. Keith looks like a peg puppet.

Cant believe hes never had "the full role" before...understudy to loads of great parts - but it must be so good for him to have the starring role now.

No doubt 3-4 of the others will get understudy parts, and sooner or later also get their own main role

I am pleased for him and wish him all the best. but I think the best three made it to the final and hope they all have success.
I would have loved keith to have won as he has a wonderfully different voice and would have brought a new twist to the role but Lee will do a great Job.:-D

Been away for a while and just found this. Yep - I was thrilled to bits when they said his name. Lewis and Keith are very good but Lee has that certain something, that quality that just makes you look at him when he's on the stage. My hubby's a very good talent spotter and we don't always agree, but we did over Lee.

Having played (a very sexy) Pharoah in the touring production, he will at least be familiar with the format of the show. I'd love to be able to go and see him in the west end, but I'm not likely to be able to. I'll just have to settle for saying I knew him before he was famous.

Lankeela, I think the problem with 'Maria' was one of fatigue and illness. If I recall correctly, Connie doesn't come from an acting background and I think the workload came as a bit of a shock. Lee, however, is already used to working eight plus shows a week, so this aspect shouldn't be a problem for him.
