RCA held back release of a Waylon Jennings song "Atlanta's Burning Down," relating to incidents in the American Civil War.

The artiste and his estate has not released the words of the song either.

Anybody out there able to oblige?

Thank you.

The song is available on a Bear Family specialist label collection of the artiste's entire repertoire.

Written by Billy Ray Reynolds, it's on his album `Sarotoga`.

ATLANTA'S BURNING DOWN
(Reynolds)

Billy Ray Reynolds - 2002
Dickey Betts
Waylon Jennings

I left my home in Georgia
In May of sixty-three
I come here to Virginia
To fight for General Lee

But I can't fight this mornin'
I must be southward bound
My Jenny's in Atlanta
And Atlanta's burnin' down

Gettysburg to Richmond
I fought long and hard
Not far away in Georgia
Sherman's in my own backyard

So I'm leavin' here this mornin'
Even if they shoot me down
My Jenny's in Atlanta
And Atlanta's burnin' down

Atlanta's burnin' down
Atlanta's burnin' down
Jenny's in Atlanta
And Atlanta's burnin' down

(Instrumental Break)

Atlanta's burnin' down
Oh, Atlanta's burnin' down
Jenny's in Atlanta
And Atlanta's burnin' down
