As far as my memory goes it was Bryan Ferry that did the whistling himself but don't hold me to that. I do know that in the recording studio were;
Andy MacKay; Sax (best ever)
Bryan Ferry: Vocals and keyboards
Gary Tibbs; Bass
Phil Manzanera; Guitar.

Probably not but he turn up in an old Shakin' Stevens video, possibly "what do you wanna make those eyes at me for" in the early 80's.
