Silversky- I listened to the Butterflies song and I know what you mean. It has a strong tune, amazing arrangement bordering on classical and huge production. It is immense. However as far as songs so, it basically is the same piece of tune over and over again in different variations. Like theme and variations used in so many classical works. This makes it more of a "classical" piece than a pop song. It lacks the verse/bridge/chorus/verse/chorus/middle8/chorus pattern of most pop songs. So I don't think you can compare it with the mastery of the Beatles and what they managed to create in a 3 minute song, time and time again! If you stripped this song down to a voice and acoustic guitar I wonder if it would not actually be rather samey?
