Lifting the soul
Don't you love it when a song you haven't heard in an age comes on the radio? I tried to play The Cars' "My Best Friend's Girl" on Youtube a couple of days ago, but my computer is coal powered, and was having none of it.
Now it's on MOJO, and I am very happy, dancing and clapping to the beat like a right divvy!
Any songs tht really cheer you up? X

I recently bought a CD copy of an album I had on a dodgy tape, and it brought back a million memories. I was out in the place I used to live the other week, and what a fab time we had, lots of old faces, and music to match!

bigmamma-it's true! My computer is a living tragedy...Sometimes I wonder would it be better just to put the old girl out of her misery, pour coke over her and claim on the insurance or something! Keep laughting away anyway, I like your laught (!)
Leg, that's a cheery one yes! kp, good stuff. bob, I won't play that video because it looks much like Sir Cliff D******d, top of my most hated list, and Daniel O' Donnell, a close contender for the top spot!
Kleiber, hiya pet! Nice to see you (to see you....NICE!) I have been away learning to drive for a week, and also am cutting down on AB, it's making my blood pressure sky high! The Beach Boys did make some wonderfully cheery songs, didn't they :) How are you?
Sorry for the late reply everyone, couldn't access my own flippin' thread! x

*Catches bm's questions* :)
Hi bm, love, how's things? We are all a bit sick of this rain already, and it can only get worse...So I went out and bought a new winter hat and some glubs to cheer myself up and keep warm! Getting to the stage where Jack may have to wear his coat...And believe me, he isn't impressed!
I didn't want to drive tbh, but a lot of jobs I will apply for when I graduate will ask for a license, so I thought I would be as well to do it now (apparently it gets harder to learn as you get older), and file it under "there if needed"!
I had 5 lessons locally a couple of weeks ago in a new Mini, which was lovely to drive, and then the week-long course in Blackpool was in a wee Corsa, which was also nice. I am enjoying it more than I thought I would, thank you, bm, but it is hard work, and quite demanding, you just can't afford to take your eye off the ball!
It would be handy to have a car sometimes, but I am aware that if I was to get one I would probably become quite lazy. Also, the expense isn't something we can stretch to on top of usual living costs etc., so no car for me for some time!
My dream car is a real Mini Cooper, I already found her but she was sold quickly. Irridescent purple with a checked roof! Classy... :)
Do you drive bm?
