How do I stop this annoying (but seemingly harmless) pop-up tool bar appearing whenever I boot up my PC running Windows ME?

Sorry- posted this in wrong area but don't know how to delete it now!! Duh!
Press start, then run, and type in 'msconfig' in the box that appears. Another box then appears with tabs across the top, one of which says 'Startup'. Click this one and a list appears of all the things that automatically start running when Windows starts. Uncheck all of these, especially the MS Works one in your case. Make sure you don't uncheck the ones associated with anitvirus software that you may want running, or ones that you may want to start up automatically (MSN Messenger). This is a good way of speeding up your computer and clearing out the system tray (the bit by the clock), as it reduces the amount of RAM being used and the time it takes windows to be usable after booting up.
