Same with alcohol, that causes more heartache and misery than any other drug but will they ever ban it?

he believes all these things which the government are starting to set in place are leading up to us all beling like slaves.Run by the Uliminate ( not sure of the spelling) Eventually being told what to do wear eat...ect. He has out a copy of a whole day talk he did in London some of it it whooosh over my head ...but some does make sense. & no he dose not wear that hiddeous shell suit I think it was....but he has some strange thing going on with his hands. Anyone got any free time should have a look I only watched it thu it being passed on to me....P.s I'm not expert on this...just watched the DVD.
Oh come off it. I smoke (and quite heavily too) but not being able to smoke our cancer sticks in the company of people that don't is hardly an infringement on our human rights. Maybe they could have changed it to only places that serve food were non smoking areas but did you write to your MP regrading this. How many smokers did? We all knew it was being discussed. I did nothing so I can't complain about it. If the government let a food dye out on to the market that was known to cause cancer but you carried on to eat it because it wasn't banned even though informed that it was carcinogenic, and then you or a member of your family contracted cancer you would want to know why it wasn't banned.
As for alcohol, I agree with Reverand. It's a misery drug. I was shocked to find out that domestic abuse is at it's worse on a Saturday and Sunday afternoon when men come home from the pub after a few pints. It's not an idiotic few though is it? There's thousands upon thousands who can't drink responsibly.
The government have to look after the majority and if binge drinking is costing the country billions in health care, extra policing and criminal damage etc then the causes have to be looked at.
Do you even know what a dictatorship is? Are you aware you can raise issues with your MP and that you have the right to vote?

I have always thought that alcohol needs just as much, if not more, attention than tobacco.
My father gave up smoking 10 years ago and his lungs are as fit as a fiddle. However he gave up drinking 3 years ago and his liver is shot to bits...irreversible.
I have also been told of the hell the family went through living with an alcoholic. He was never as addicted to tobacco as he was the booze.
The 'Drink Aware' signs they take onto booze adverts are pointless.

Thanx for your thoughts. yes I do know what a dictatorship is as I have recently lived in a country where this is the norm... Why say when MEN come home from the pub have you seen the clips on tv showing binge drinkers? most are young women spewing in the street . and yes I did write to my MP about the ban. And I still believe people should have been given the freedom of choice.
