When ever the subject is raised, David Gilmour confirms that he simply doesn't wish to play with them any more - and it's not as if he needs the money is it?

Heartbreaking - second-best live band i have ever seen, and I have seen them eight times, but I'd love to see them just ... eight-eight more ...!

Hi stensonlad,

as you may know, I am a music writer, and I have been watching bands professionally, and for pleasure, for over forty years and the finest live act i have ever seen is Bruce Springsteen And the E Street Band. Seen them half-a-dozen times, the finest on 4.7.84 at Wembley, I never expect anything to eclipse that night, but i always live in hope.
