I play piano and guitar and love music. I try to play Mozart because it has an innate beauty, you just feel it is right. An Andante, arranged from a Concerto (1784) and by God it just sweeps you off your feet.

For every effect there is a cause.

Mozart is proof of God. Please listen to Figaro !! It is magic.

I think I may have screwed up here.

Mozart sends shivers through me, who else could move your heart so much with an aria totally in C major and no black notes ?

It is terribly important, the moving of the heart.

Well bu88er me ! I was soaring there on emotional heights, I hadn't allowed for the Lancashire cotton mills turning out the noo.

Try a bit of Mozart, just for me please, and then see if it makes sense that it came from random happenings in a primeval soup.

Ok I agree Whiffey, Mozart is pretty good but I prefer Tchaikovsky, ok?

Don't know why but for some reason Whiffey reminds me of Sledge Hammer.

Rachmaninov Piano Concerto No 2. Everybody knows it, old hat. But have you heard his Vespers ? And have you listened to the Brahms Alto Rhapsody and envisaged a tortured soul clawing through the brambles of misery to reach the dawn of resolution ?
