I hate new years eve!

With a passion i really hate going out nye, it is all the trouble i have witnessed over the years, too much drinking, too many arguments, too many women crying, too many people going over in their mind what an awful year they have had and that bloody Scottish song drives me mad.
I am quite happy doing my own thing at home without watching bloody Jules Holland-who has done nothing any good since Squeeze-please world shelter me from this night i have suffered enough!

I agree. For the last five years or so my friends and I have made a nice dinner, drank lots of wine and locked the damn door on new years eve. I think what I struggle with is the hike in prices and the fact that the local dive that you would never be seen dead in is now packed out and selling tickets.

Also, what's so special about it anyway? Does anyone really believe anything will be different?

I have to agree with you for the same reasons about New Year.
Highly over rated.
I would rather spend a nice evening at home without a hangover the next morning too.
Having said that, Happy New Year to everyone when it comes.
