I've just sat transfixed and watched some of those clips. I was at the Olympia thing, but sadly don't remember much about it.

God, he was brilliant. Somewhere in that Youtube stuff somebody makes a comment about his fellow band members' egos. I think there was only one ego, and he left about ten years too late, after writing some of their best stuff, and then some of their worst.

Syd's in a better place now, bless him.

TB - you're even more fantastic than I first thought! Floyd are my fave!!! Forget MCR, HIM, Nine Inch Nails and all the newer rock bands. I'm sure they all have their place - but Floyd rule!!! Oh - as well as Fish, of course! Lol. x

I love Radiohead too. I'm sure I heard somewhere that they were influenced by the Floyd.

They probably were - I'm not sure about that, but they're a decent band, so if Floyd influenced them in any way - brill! isn't it a pity they can't get back together for good!

I think Led Zep and Floyd need to think about their die hard fans and re-group! Forget Take That and Spice Girls!!!
