iPod Nano 8GB

I've managed to put artwork with the songs on my new iPod nano, however, I can't change the pictures once they're on the itunes thing. Some of the songs had a picture from itunes when I asked it to find artwork and some were added by me as the artwork, but because I'm sad enough to care, I want to alter the picture by copy and paste. When I thnk I've done it, It shows the picture changed but if I leave the tune and come back to it a moment later, the first original picture is back. Short of having a hissy fit and stamping on it, How can I alter the artwork on my iPod songs in my nano?

Click/highlight the song which artwork you want to change. Go to FILE > GET INFO. A box opens and the last item is ARTWORK. You can add and delete the songs' artwork here.
