I have recently purchased a package of software and leads to transfer my vinyl records from a record player to my computer. This involves connecting a lead from the headphone socket of my record player to the line in socket on my computer. The package works well except for a constant hum, however when I connect the lead to the headphone socket of my DAB radio the hum dissapears. Does anyone know of a simple supressor that would solve the problem or can offer an alternative solution. HELP

Is there an earth tab or ground or similar type connection at the rear of you're t/table as it sounds very much like an earth loop hum.
Try touching a piece of wire from the t/table chasis or any accessable metal part to earth and see if that helps.
