Bruce Springsteen - did this happen?
42 Answers
Bruce Springsteen was touring the UK in the 80's during the miners' strike. When he got to the North East, he asked to meet the strike committee for the area and donated $20,000 to the strike fund. Did that happen, or is it just an urban myth?

Someone did give Hansen a terrible kicking late last year though, dunno who or why.
Do you remember the rumour's that used to go around about Mark Lawrenson?
He did an interview with the Echo protesting his innocence (I dare say he was) several years later he berated Fowler for reacting to rumours. Now that's what I call hypocrisy.
