The guitar solo in the middle of the final countdown by Europe, cheesy nonsense or one of the great guitar riffs of the last 30 years?

Purely subjectively on the guitar solo discounting the fact you may dislike the band and era.

A lot of people thought it was cheesy - or is that just on reflection? Anyway, funnily enough I was listening to that song a few days ago, and ended up singing along to it.Nowhere near as good as some other rock stuff - but very passable.

Best living guitarist IMHO has to be mark knopfler though, to watch some of the stuff he does is simply awesome!

I saw AC/DC at Donnington years ago as a teenie. Back In Black was just out, and they had the big bell suspended over the stage from a crane. It p*ssed down all day. I got the muddiest I've ever been in my like, and I was so sh*tfaced it took me days to recover. My parents gave me a real b*llocking.

It was fab.
