Can anyone enlighten us on the process and inherant details of this piece by Bach please ?
We know it is from 1724, but require details of the movements.

Hi code1 here goes...It was written in Leipzig for the second Sunday after Trinity and performed on 18 June 1724, based on a chorale of the same name by Martin Luther. the piece is written for 2 oboes, 4 trombones,strings [violins,violas and basso continuo] vocal soloists and choir it is in 6 movements, in D minor unless otherwise noted.....1/ chorus...2/ recitative ...3/ aria .. 4/recitative and arioso...5/aria...6/ chorale.Hope this is of some help.g.
