how to find a serial numbers on cd disc

i have got some disc's i need to load back on my new PC, but have lost the serial number that came with it, is there a way to find it out some where on the disc's?

The only things that makes them useful is the serial number and that is usually printed on the box or on a piece of paper that came with the product.
The only number you may have is the one for Windows that may be stuck on the PC case or on the underside of the laptop.

As I already said, the serial number is not hidden on the disk.
All software disks for any one proudct are the same.
When you enter the serial number it runs a little program to check the serial number fits the "rules" for that product, and if so the product can be installed.
So the actual serial number is held nowhere on the disk, only a small program to check any number you enter has the right format.
