Whilst travelling home from work tonight (only 1 hr 10 mins tonight hehe), I heard Iggy Pop's Lust for Life being played on Radio 2... well, I simply could not stop tapping the steering wheel along to the music... trouble is, by the time I got to the bit of the road where I had to stop for red lights, I was in full flight... hehe..until I looked around and virtually every other car driver was also obviously listening to R2.... some slapping steering wheels, others on their thighs....

So, my question is, what's the best music you've heard lately that got your thighs slapped or your chin dancing or your steering wheel tapped to ?

I regained my love for some of my Uni music which consisted of Linkin Park and Everclear! EM and hubby sat watching vids on You Tube and havign a good old thigh slapping moment!
Springsteen's Born to Run was on a couple of weeks back and I always have to sing along and tap the steering wheel to that. It's when I try to do the air guitar solos to music that the problems start ...
Another Iggy Pop number ... Real Wild Child

I was listening to Green Onions by Booker T & the MG's

Awww, brill track there J5 !
Interesting Jugglering.

I think The Seekers were underrated by music history.

Listen to I'll Never Find Another You. Judith Durham sings the second verse on her own. That 30 seconds is one of the most stunning vocal moments ever recorded. Judith Durham's voice rings like a clear bell. She plays with the notes. She is superb.

And sadly, The Seekers are dismissed as pulp pop.

Ah well.

Kings of leon, fans

Though lust for life would do it too and Jayne, real wild child is an absolute classic track :)

Oh and driving home from work this evening, I was in full steering wheel tap mode along to Katrina & The Waves - Walking on Sunshine.... hehe... I am still singing it in my head
Walking on Sunshine does it for me too.
And The Jam - Town called Malice. Got to be careful not to loose control of the car during that one.

Oh and - Rainbow - Since you've been Gone. Oh and ELO Mister Blue Sky

Oh and Dire Straits - Money for Nothing.

Oh and.....I'm on a roll! lol

Hehe firetracie - me too ! How about The Boss' Born in the USA.... I've been known to foot-tap, steering wheel slap and sing along to that one (but only when someone else was driving lol
I do it when I'm behind the wheel! (In a responsible way - paying attention to the road and other users lol :-)

Oh and Mamsas and Pappas - California Dreeming!

Oh and Dancing in the Moonlight - Toploaders version was great.
nice one, Juggerling! I'm always getting caught singing in the car. my fave right now is the Chili Peppers, Give It Away.

my only problem is if I hear Prince, Purple Rain.. because really it needs both hands in the air, swaying from side to side!
Dancing in the Dark is another good one but then Springsteen does do really good steering wheel tapping music. Don't hear it much on the radio but Foo Fighter's Monkey wrench is excellent in the car
afraid it's the hardcore rap that does it for me...lol!

oooh Dusty - yes!

No need to apologise neo. it's music and it's all great - we just pick the stuff out of it we like.

Nickelback - How you remind me

Eminen - Loose youself - ooooohhhh! orgasmic
