Dream????
4 Answers
Not sure if this is the right place to post this question but my father had a dream last night and it was of his parents who have passed away a few years ago. In the dream his father went up to him and was hugging my father and crying. Breaking his heart crying with his head on my fathers shoulder. My father woke up and cried!!! He has only ever cried twice and one time was when his mother passed away. My father seems to think that he is now going to die and the dream was my grandfather preparing my father for what's going to happen!!! This may sound OTT but my father doesn't believe in spirits and dreams meaning anything but the dream was so vivid he thinks something is going to happen!!
Can anyone shed any light on what it could mean???
Many thanks x x

Maybe your father is about to do something which will have an impact on his life, like buying something expensive or getting a new job and the dream is warning him that everything is not right and he should be wary of what he is doing or who he is dealing with.
It may mean, that your father has never fully come to terms with the death of his parents and has not greived properly, so for him to wake up crying, may mean his emotions about their deaths is finally coming to the surface.
I doubt it has anything to do with your father dying. Dreams are a way of our subconscious telling us things, that we aren't fully aware or accepting of.

On the other hand it may be just a dream and nothing else. When I was a young teenager (I'm now 61) I had a dream when all my dead friends and relations were in a group and beckoning me. I was worried for months that it meant I would soon join them. Come to think of it, I'm bound too one day. But not too soon I hope!!
I think dreams are simply a way the mind collects up all the stray thought, memories, desires, stresses, worries, etc and files them away in their correct compartments. Sometimes, the drawers of those compartments have to open to allow more relevant thoughts to be filed there. When this happens, old memories accidentally spill out. Fascinating really! Please tell him not to worry. If some of the dreams I've had were significant, I wouldn't be here now!
