Where - TV, radio ?
I have to say that the Betales would not have been the great group that they were without George Martin.
His production of the songs in the studio took pop music to another level.
Before the Beatles he had produced comedy (Peter Sellers etc) and also Classical and pop music so he had a wide range of skills that he used when producing the Beatles songs.
He was the "fifth Beatle"

funnily enough , we were talking about the beatles over the weekend and we came to the conclusion that there music in the early years was actually alot of rubbish, but it came along at the right time.. in saying that strawberry fields was and has always been my favourite beatles song.. hot summer days and first real girlfriend stuff.. memories ay..
>that there music in the early years was actually alot of rubbish,
Sorry, dont agree.
While their early songs were simpler than the songs in later years they produced some GREAT early singles like She Loves You and I Want to hold your hand.
Also their first and second albums were excellent with songs like "Do you want to know a secret", and "All my loving"
Watch this video of "Do You want to know a secret" and remember this is on their first album, and John and Paul wrote it.
I think it sounds very sophisticated, with the spoken opening and still sounds good today

And how about "All my Loving" from the second album. A simple song but it still rocks (john and paul wrote this as well)
