cassettes to cd

i have a lot of music recorded on cassettes. is there any way to transfer them to cd's with my computer?

Yes. You can link the line out from the tape machine to the line in of you computer sound card (assuming ypou have one) then download a free wav or sound recorder (search for one on http://www.freedownloadscenter.com ). Alternatively, buy Soundforge. Record one side of the tape as one long .wav track. Edit/normalise/de-hiss the track to get the individual songs then burn them to CD using Easy CD creator or Nero to create an audio CD.
Don't forget that the sound quality won't be as good as a 'real' CD.
